Dealing with Temper Tantrums

Tantrums can be seen in kids of all ages, sometimes in adults too. However, it is more commonly seen in pre-schoolers, meaning children up to 3 years of age. According to the dictionary, tantrums are basically an uncontrolled outburst of anger and frustration, typically in a young child.

I remember reading somewhere, tantrums come in all shapes and sizes. It is basically what we get to see when a child cannot handle the situation any more. Commonly we see crying, shouting, throwing things, hitting, sprawling themselves on the floor, running away and sometimes even breaking things.

  1. Yes of course tantrums helps in development of a child. It helps in expressions and helps them learn emotions .

  2. Yes managing kids tantrums is a skill. While u need to maintain the “who is the boss” u also hve to b subtle at.the same time.

  3. Parenting is a difficult job and handling tantrums is one tough task to deal with. I will totally agree with you on the tips you shared to deal with children’s tantrums.

  4. This is a good topic I need few advise in this as my lo is growing and showing different kind of tanturms . I am some time pissed of bcz I don’t know what to do and I don’t want to shout on my baby.
